Pre-Licensed Clinician (Part-Time)

Job Details Koinonia Family Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time pre-licensed clinician to serve clients in our mental health program in Temecula, CA. This is a hybrid position, with in-person appointments and team meetings conducted at our Temecula office, and other time spent working remotely. Koinonia is one of California's leading children's services agencies. Responsibilities include preparing assessments, developing person-centered treatment plans for assigned individuals, providing therapy, and completing necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and other documentation. The typical schedule includes afternoons and early evenings. Key Responsibilities Complete the intake of referrals for mental health services Complete assessments to inform a diagnosis Develop person-centered treatment plansProvide individual therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients' needs Evaluates clinical interventions to meet desired outcomes Write notes and document client progress Complete CANS assessments and maintain annual CANS certification Complete necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentation Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities Assists with coordinating discharges and after-care efforts Maintains intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and participates in required supervision Qualifications Master’s degree in social work (MSW) 2+ years of experience in a social service setting, working with children and families (preferred) Current registration as an ACSW or AMFT, or current licensure as an LCSW or LMFT (required) Experience completing assessments and care plans Skilled in therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning Strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practices Passion for ongoing professional development Join Our Team At Koinonia Family Services, we are committed to creating a supportive, mission-driven workplace where employees feel valued and connected to the work they do. This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function. Clinician's are responsible for tasks such as visiting client homes, transporting youth, engaging with community partners, often in locations not easily accessible by alternative transportation methods. The nature of these responsibilities necessitate the ability to drive to ensure timely, reliable, confidential and effective support for the youth and families we serve.
