Location:Atlanta, Georgia, United StatesJob ID: R Date Posted: Company Name:HITACHI ENERGY USA INCProfession (Job Category):Customer Service & Contact Center OperationsJob Schedule:Full timeRemote:YesJob Description:Category ManagerThe Opportunity:We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented professional with extensive experience in CAPEX Construction and Facility area.If you are flexible and enthusiastic about adapting to various work environments, and have a keen interest in exploring the inner workings of our client's most significant projects, you will be a great fit for our teamHow You'll Make an Impact:Lead local category strategies for CAPEX Construction and Facility Management.Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing processes: RFP, technical and commercial evaluation, negotiation and contracting.Dialogue with technical teams to understand scopes, specifications and risks.Negotiate with specialized suppliers (contractors, technical services, FM).Manage contracts, terms and conditions, SLAs and KPIs.Adapt corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Evaluate and mitigate technical, contractual, financial and HSE risks.Your Background:Basic Qualifications:BA / BS in Supply Chain/Business Administration/Real Estate/Finance or related discipline.+5 years of experience in large scale CAPEX Construction projects and Strategic Sourcing in a company.Good understanding about technical categories present within all capital projects: building services and process equipment, construction, and technical contractors.Sense of ownership, pride, and ability to see projects through to completion.Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously and optimally in a matrix organization and with very little oversight and direction.Project management and execution skills.Strong knowledge of MS office tools including MS Project, MS Excel etc., SAP Ariba.Good mastery of English.10 - 20% travel requiredLocation preference EST time zonePreferred Qualifications:Hitachi Energy experience strongly preferred.Solid knowledge of Hitachi Energy’s different supply chains and logistics structures.Multi-Lingual (English + Spanish + other foreign language nice to have, Portuguese or French very strong assets)Superior negotiation skills in a highly challenging, intercultural multi-business environment and be able to negotiate terms and conditions as well as prices that align with business objectives.High understanding and knowledge of Hitachi Energy internal needs and goals and Company Sustainability GoalsCould have ISM Certification.More About Us:We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
