We are looking to hire exceptional PhD and Postdoctoral scientific researchers who seek fresh challenges after completing their academic commitments. The ideal candidate would be: A world‑class academic, as evidenced by either an excellent PhD thesis or publications in high‑calibre international peer‑reviewed journals and conferences. We will judge this commensurate with career stage. A naturally gifted software engineer, with experience in either a high‑level language such as Python or a low‑level one such as C++.WHY WE MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU

You will join our internal team of outstanding academics who have made significant contributions to challenging problems in scientific fields ranging from Cosmology to Number Theory. You will spend at least 50% of your time working on internal Chai research projects, collaborating with engineers to build highly accurate statistical pipelines, and exploring the booming field of generative AI.REQUIREMENTS
Hold Bachelors and Masters degrees in a hard‑science discipline from world‑leading institutions. You must either hold, or be working towards, a PhD degree in a hard science. In the latter case, you must have defended your thesis and passed with no major corrections before the proposed start date of your employment at Chai. You must be experienced in programming. This can be in any sensible language, and could be evidenced by contributions to open‑source projects or code written for research articles. We are happy to sponsor visas for the right candidates. Pay range$250,000—$350,000 USD
