Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour and Evening 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the CVOR specialty required. Must have experience with Aseptic Technique, Case Cart, and various surgical procedures including Cardiac and Vascular cases. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required. Must-Have: Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment. Experience with XI Robotics preferred. Ability to float to general surgery if required. Description: The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room. The role includes performing assessments, planning nursing care, and collaborating with the surgical team. On-call and weekend requirements include 6 calls per 6-week schedule and at least 1 weekend shift or 1 holiday per 6-week schedule. This position requires experience in various surgical specialties including Ortho, Urology, Thoracic, Neuro, and others. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring high standards of care for patients. Daily census includes up to 60 cases with 8-10 hearts. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various teams including IV, Radiology, and Pharmacy. Candidates must comply with all facility and standard nursing protocols. Flu vaccination is mandatory, with no exemptions allowed.
