Job Title: API Integration Engineer

Work Location: Chicago, IL 60604 (Day one Onsite)

Primary skill is API Development not DevOps:

• Understanding of API concepts like REST, SOAP, GraphQL
• Understanding of API Security like OAuth 2.0, JWT token validation
• Experience/Understanding in API Design & Governance concepts, and distributed application runtime patterns (Dapr, Service Mesh, Sidecar), along with API quality practices (format validation, logging, monitoring)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services - Azure API Management, Application Gateway (including WAF), Azure Front Door, Key Vault, and monitoring solutions
• Understanding of networking concepts: VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, private endpoints.

Secondary skills:

• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) exp rience with Azure resource provisioning
• GitHub Actions (workflow authoring, secrets management, environment setup).
• Experience integrating Terraform deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write and maintain Python scripts for automation
• Experience with Azure SDKs and REST APIs for resource management.
