How You’ll Contribute Provides leadership and direction for staff while maintaining awareness of department issues, responding to employee needs and concerns. Hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates and leads performance, determines compensation of subordinate staff in compliance with human resources policies and handles all aspects of staff supervision. Develops cost estimates, scopes of work (SOW) and coordinates with Supply Chain to onboard contractors. Responsible for ensuring project coordination between other project teams (ie. Field crews and PM/CM) is timely. Attends regular project scoping meetings and construction site visits to make recommendations on system, circuit, design or layout improvements to engineering. Reviews for accuracy and approves all test reporting documents related to commissioning and maintenance activities. How You’re Qualified Nine or more years of experience in the construction and/or maintenance of power substation protection, SCADA, metering, monitoring and/or control systems; experience troubleshooting and repairing SCADA, telecommunications and/or protective relay problems; experience designing and developing transmission operations test and/or maintenance procedures and equipment configurations; or other relevant experience, including leadership experience. A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
