Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Shape young minds and make a difference by supporting students across various campuses as an Educational Diagnostician in a dynamic school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to choose from several tailored roles—from working directly with elementary and middle school students to focused evaluation assignments and early childhood assessment within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You’ll develop valuable experience, working onsite and engaging closely with students, staff, and families.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Texas Educational Diagnostician Endorsement required (credentials must be verified through the designated state portal)
  • Experience in school settings preferred, especially with special education populations
  • Confidence in conducting student assessments, writing detailed reports, and participating in ARD meetings
  • Strong collaboration and consultation abilities with educators, families, and allied professionals
  • Adaptability to different school environments and student age groups

Position Offerings:

  • Campus Diagnostician: Engage with either elementary or middle school populations (multiple roles available) in testing and observing, attending ARDs, and providing insight to school teams
  • Evaluation-Only Diagnostician: Serve district-wide, focused on student testing across all levels, based out of the district’s centralized SPED facility
  • Play-Based Assessment Diagnostician: Work with young children (ages 2–3), conducting play-based assessments alongside a cohesive team including psychology, speech, and occupational therapy professionals

  • Perform assessments, consultations, and observations tailored to your placement
  • Generate and present thorough evaluation reports
  • Collaborate with IEP/ARD teams to support optimal student outcomes
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records
