Sr. Area Manager - Assembly

Manufacturing ManagerResponsible for overseeing manufacturing activities for one product group or multiple manufacturing areas within the plant. Ensure continuous improvement in production efficiency, quality and cost. Establishes schedules and ensures effective and efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment. (i.e. Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, etc.)Accountable for area's safety, quality, delivery and financial performance.Responsibility and ownership of manufacturing performance metrics and develops continuous improvement action plans.Participate in the creation of new policies and assist in the deployment of new employee related policies.Monitors capacity to meet the requirements of existing and projected customer programs.Responsible for manufacturing input to appropriate cross-functional teams for customer interaction and customer complaint response (8D).Provides guidance on daily activities as necessary to support production.Coordinates with other functional managers in planning and implementing Quality, Human Resources and Manufacturing programs.Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
