What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity, verifying credentials, screening visitors, and reporting suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or packages.
- Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, following post orders for sensitive or restricted areas, and completing required reports related to security-related incidents and/or daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
