QA ASSOCIATE

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager As a QA Associate, you’ll be the front line of food safety and quality assurance on our production floor. You’ll ensure products meet all specifications, support HACCP and GMP compliance, and be a critical part of delivering products our customers trust. Key Responsibilities: Monitor all stages of production to ensure quality standards are met Verify proper scaling of raw materials and mixing processes Check baking and cooling stages for specification compliance Inspect final product for weight, color, and appearance Confirm packaging, labeling, and date coding accuracy Conduct organoleptic evaluations (taste, odor, eye appeal) Support line operators in making adjustments for quality improvement Monitor and verify metal detectors and in-line scales Assist with label printing and raw material management Train production staff on SOPs, GMPs, and Food Safety procedures Help develop and maintain HACCP plans and food safety systems Perform regular GMP inspections and maintain product samples Document findings and report issues to the QA Manager Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in food manufacturing QA or Food Safety is preferred Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
