Description Location: Brandywine, MD Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range : $90,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 • Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 Position Overview NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support an outpatient oncology practice in Brandywine, Maryland. This role is ideal for nurses with infusion and oncology experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. Under general supervision, the Infusion RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with national standards, specialty regulations, and organizational policies while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate continuity of patient care Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document interventions Review and report clinical findings, labs, imaging, and psychosocial assessments to providers Prepare and administer infusion therapies under physician supervision Safely administer medications and blood products following established protocols Perform venipuncture and access implanted ports and central venous catheters Assess labs and patient condition to support dose modifications and symptom management Provide patient and family education, counseling, and psychosocial support Ensure required consents and pre-authorizations are completed prior to treatment Maintain accurate clinical documentation and charge capture Assist physicians during exams and procedures Manage patient flow, scheduling, follow-ups, and triage calls Follow OSHA, infection control, and hazardous material handling standards Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked infusion areas Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and community resources Serve as a mentor/preceptor to less experienced nursing staff as needed Participate in ongoing oncology education and professional development Provide coverage for satellite clinic locations as required Infusion-Specific Responsibilities Program and manage portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery Educate patients and caregivers on home infusion pump use and care Clean, maintain, and document infusion pump usage according to protocol Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 3–5 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in oncology preferred Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Work Environment & Physical Requirements Outpatient oncology clinic setting Potential exposure to cytotoxic agents, radiation, and communicable diseases Prolonged standing and walking required Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Manual dexterity and normal vision/hearing (with correction) required Why Join NurseAmerica Competitive salary with experience-based compensation $10,000 sign-on bonus Paid time off Retirement plan options Supportive clinical leadership Ongoing education and career growth opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr NurseAmerica, Inc.
