Director of Construction / Operations Manager

Midwest Market

As the Vice President’s primary operational partner, you’ll lead execution across five divisions: concrete, paving, seal coating, signage, and asphalt . This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can coordinate crews, hold teams accountable, and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and profitably.

What You’ll Do

  • Own daily field operations across all five divisions.
  • Coordinate project schedules, staffing, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Lead and support division managers, project managers, superintendents, and field crews.
  • Monitor project budgets, productivity, quality, and deadlines.
  • Establish clear expectations and consistent operating processes across the Midwest market.
  • Resolve field challenges and keep the Vice President informed of priorities, risks, and performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Champion safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in paving, asphalt, concrete, or related construction operations.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and projects across a regional market.
  • A strong understanding of scheduling, job costing, equipment utilization, and field production.
  • The ability to lead people, make sound decisions, and follow through.
  • Clear communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest market as needed.
