Rapid diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services help kids who experience a stroke to receive the best possible care.Our family-centered approach means that we've built a team of experts who will work together with you and your child's primary care doctor to find solutions that work for your family.Neurology Services Include:Brain imagingEvaluation of anti-epileptic drug efficacy and adversityVagal nerve stimulator implantationInpatient epilepsy monitoring unitEpilepsy surgeryOutpatient epilepsy clinicNeurophysiologic testing: Brain Stem Audio Evoked Response (BSAER)ElectroencephalogramEvoked potentialsIntraoperative electrophysiological monitoringSomatosensory responsesVideo-EEG monitoringMedical Assistants provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or Resource Manager assigned to supervise the Care Assistant and in accordance with this job description.At Children's Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls.
