Your New Role
Design and implement complete detention equipment systems, including glazing, doors, frames, hardware, and detention furnishings.
Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate design intent into practical field applications.
Prepare detailed design drawings and technical documentation.
Compile and submit project submittals for architects, consultants, and project owners.
Develop and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve design or contract document discrepancies.
Collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and internal teams throughout each project.
Design systems that balance cost efficiency, reliability, and customer needs.
Support procurement activities for detention equipment.
Participate in project reviews to help maintain design compliance and project schedules.
Perform general office and administrative tasks as needed.
Travel to project sites as required.
Perform other duties assigned to support successful project completion.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related industry experience.
1 to 2 years of related engineering or construction experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe or Bluebeam, and Timberline or similar software.
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Revit experience preferred.
Construction industry knowledge preferred.
Valid driver's license.
OSHA-10 certification.
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Ability to work outside normal business hours when project demands require.
