OB Technician Labor & Delivery

Schedule: Block schedule required; every other weekend required. No call shifts.

Assignment Details: Daily census of approximately 11 patients; 20 rooms and 20 beds available.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience required.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Charting experience in Epic preferred.
• Valid state license required at submission.
• Must provide 2 references covering 1 year of work within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in labor and delivery procedures, including Cesarean sections and hysterectomies.
• Maintain aseptic technique and handle specimens appropriately.
• Adhere to universal protocols and safety standards, including sharps safety and isolation precautions.
• Support operating room procedural needs as required.

Compliance / Notes: Must request all time off during submission; prior requests may not be granted. Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays is required if staffing needs arise.
