Under general supervision and following established clinical procedures, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered sexual health services. Job duties for this position include:Provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient populationCollaborate with Medical Assistants, Laboratory Technicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physicians, and Prevention Program staffObtain and document health histories for STI and PrEP patientsCollect clinical specimens, including performing phlebotomyProcess laboratory specimens accurately and efficientlyRoom patients and prepare exam rooms between visitsDeliver STI, HIV, and prevention education to patientsAssist with patient intake, registration, checkout, and appointment schedulingSupport disease prevention and control efforts through coordination with STI and HIV Prevention programsMaintain a welcoming environment focused on excellent customer service and patient experienceParticipate in community outreach events and health initiatives as neededPerform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and program goalsQualificationsMinimum: Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; or High School diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in medical assisting. Preferred: 2 or more years performing blood draws/phlebotomy duties in a healthcare setting Experience working in Public Health Experience working in both front & back office Medical Assistant capacities Experience in a community health role Fluency in both English & SpanishAdditional InformationGNR Public Health does not accept resumes without a fully completed employment application.
