NM - GI Physician

Job Description


About : Primarily procedures, no routine rounding but occasionally may have to round with APPs if needed - about 8 to 10 procedures per day - Majority Inpatient scopes at Main Hospital - May have occasional consults to see directly if patients stable to come down to lab and service is heavy - Esophageal food bolus impactions who are direct to lab


EXP : ERCP and EUS not required but preferred


SCHEDULE : M-F, 9 hours/day on-site; 8am-5pm at Pres Main - no call, no weekends, no holidays - paid lunches/breaks


Certs: BLS and ACLS Required - Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be certified within 5 years of completing training)


EMR : EPIC


Procedures : Adult Gastroenterology, Adult Hepatology, Inpatient, Upper GI endoscopy, Upper GI endoscopy with Foreign Body Removal,Upper GI endoscopy with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery,Upper GI endoscopy with Banding of Varices,Esophageal Dilation , Lower GI Endoscopy,Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Colonoscopy - with Excision of Polyp

Shift Information: Shifts will vary depending on needs, no shifts scheduled until credentialed
