Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill newborns in a Level III or IV NICU setting. Ensure patient safety and promote positive outcomes through expert clinical care and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR system.
• Comply with all hospital policies, including travel and background requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a State or Compact RN license with at least pending status and clear ETA.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years NICU experience.
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, preferably via AHA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal clinical care and stable patient management.
• Be willing to work night shifts, including weekends, with optional flexible scheduling.
• Include all required documentation such as NURSYS report, Qualivis Cover Sheet, and current certifications.
