Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit, Greenville, NC. This position provides care for oncology patients requiring surgical intervention and patients undergoing benign surgical procedures. The role supports a flexible intermediate and general care unit with rotating 12-hour shifts and a collaborative nurse-to-patient ratio.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license with compact licensure accepted; two years of registered nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; one professional reference from the entire work history.
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The 32-bed flexible unit provides intermediate and general care with a 1:4 registered nurse-to-patient ratio. Primary patient populations include oncology, ear, nose and throat, colorectal, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery patients. The schedule includes six weekend shifts and three of four holidays during each six-week scheduling period. Self-scheduling is available.
