The roleInstall and maintain solar equipment on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and large solar sites.
What you will do- Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
- Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
- Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
- Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
- Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
- Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
- Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
- Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
- Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
- Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
- Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
- Comfort using ladders, wearing a harness, and working at height.
- Availability for physical outdoor work and travel to customer sites.
- Reliability and clear communication.
You will complete an online course through our Service Robot Co. Academy, followed by in-person training and the industry certifications needed for this role. The Academy is certificate training that we subsidize. Your first job is paid, with a specialist supporting you remotely.
