Little Fawn LLC is a family owned, independent hardware store and lumber yard serving homeowners, contractors, farmers, and businesses throughout North Central Indiana. We specialize in hardware, lumber, metal roofing and siding, building materials, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Associate.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Associate is often the first and last person our customers interact with. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while accurately processing sales, assisting customers with product selection, generating estimates, answering phones, and supporting daily store operations.

Building materials knowledge is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual who has strong retail sales experience and a positive attitude that can thrive in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally

• Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system

• Assist customers in selecting hardware, lumber, and building material products

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions and pricing

• Prepare customer quotes and sales orders

• Recommend additional products that meet customer needs

• Maintain clean, organized checkout and sales floor areas

• Stock merchandise and assist with inventory as needed

• Work closely with the yard, delivery, and management teams to ensure excellent customer service

• Learn product knowledge across hardware, lumber, and metal roofing/siding products

• Help maintain a welcoming, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

Required

• Previous retail sales experience

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment

• Positive attitude and dependable attendance

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Preferred

• Experience working in a hardware store, lumber yard, home improvement center, or building materials supplier

• Knowledge of lumber, hardware, construction materials, or metal roofing and siding

• Experience creating estimates or quotes.
