Deposit Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist

This position is for a candidate that is comfortable operating in a fast paced environment and will be responsible for transaction processing, account maintenance, reconciliations, exception processing, and general operational support.

Responsibilities

• Process daily deposit operations transactions, exceptions, returns, adjustments, and account entries.
• Perform daily and monthly account and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review and process ACH returns, NSF items, chargebacks, non-posted items, and other transaction exceptions.
• Process account maintenance requests and perform quality-control reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with check adjustments, notices of change, and other operational requests.
• Support wire transfer processing and applicable OFAC/EDD screening requirements.
• Research and resolve transaction or account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with audit and regulatory examination requests.
• Provide backup support to other members of the Operations team.
• Participate in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of banking operations, deposit operations, wire transfer, or related financial services experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Familiarity with banking systems, ACH processing, reconciliations, and general ledger activity preferred.
