The Lead Construction Technician position is someone who is generally experienced in various forms of home improvement and renovations. Skills include but are not limited to: carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring. Candidate will be in a supervisory position perform home improvement services with the aid of a minimum of 01 construction technician (assistant). Lead Tech will take responsibility for full inventory of company van, tools and materials inside. Lead Tech should be able to perform all tasks assigned and be able to train subordinates. Lead Tech will be responsible for utilizing the Jobber application to notify customers of arrivals, take pictures, upload notes, and provide strong overall communication to the owner. Lead tech must be comfortable working off of extension ladders on sides of buildings (up to 32 ft, but usually only 24) and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Common work performed is repairing rotted / damaged soffit, fascia boards, wall studs, subfloor and trim. Installing and repairing drywall, finished and ready for paint. Painting walls and repaired wood. Replacing laminate, LVP, carpet. Occasionally tile. Occasionally brick. Lead tech will\l wear company uniform, drive company vehicle and use company tools. Pay is every friday. Though this is a temporary position, it may become permanent if the individual on a medical leave of absence does not return.Responsibilities:
- Assist in repairing and improving residential and commercial buildings
- Take good care of all equipment being used
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home improvement
- Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle physical workload and ladders
- Drivers license and transportation
