The Koch Internship Program (KIP)The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Locke's mission is to be North Carolina's most influential force driving public policy so North Carolinians flourish in a free and prosperous society.About the RoleThe John Locke Foundation development team seeks an energetic and detail-oriented Development Assistant to support the Foundation's fundraising efforts with donor research, data management, and content creation for digital fundraising. The ideal candidate will have some prior experience with a CRM system and exposure/familiarity with Moves Management fundraising strategies. This role is on site in Raleigh, North Carolina.Key ResponsibilitiesDonor stewardship: Execute the delivery of prompt, accurate, and respectful gift acknowledgments via mail, phone, and/or email.Development research: Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships among Locke's community of existing and prospective donors.Data management: Maintain accurate records, track interactions and moves management activity, support data hygiene processes, and activity reporting.HubSpot execution and content creation: Build and schedule emails and workflows, manage lists/segmentation, create and update landing pages and forms as needed, draft and edit basic fundraising and event-related content, and track performance metrics.QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a humanities associate's, undergraduate, or graduate degree programDemonstration of prior work experience in an office settingStrong written and verbal communication skillsRespect for donor privacy and discretionAbility to learn new software and Artificial Intelligence toolsCommitment to the John Locke Foundation's principles of free enterprise, individual liberty, and government transparencyTo ApplyInterested applicants should submit the following application materials in one PDF document:Cover letter including: An introductory paragraph(s) describing three distinct reasons you are drawn to John Locke Foundation's mission and how you came to those beliefsResumeApplications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
