Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License (Texas) Certifications: Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Fetal monitoring (Intermediate and Advanced certification) ACLS certification BLS certification NRP certification 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience Description: Facility Overview: We recognize the unique needs of each of our patients and strive to deliver the highest standard of care every day. When a hospitalization is necessary, we provide outstanding care for a range of services including obstetrics and gynecology. Unit Highlights: The unit consists of 16 Labor and Delivery rooms, 5 Triage areas, and 7 Antepartum beds. Patient ratios are 1:2 for nursing staff. Support staff includes unit clerks and techs available 24/7. Type of equipment: Fetal monitors. Documentation system used: Meditech/CPN primarily. Floating policy: Floating may be required as needed. Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket. Nails must be clean and healthy. Hair should be neat, clean, and conservative in style. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Floating guidelines will be discussed in further detail during the interview. Attendance policies are strictly enforced.
