Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience in general, OB/GYN, and vascular sonography for a Trauma II acute care hospital setting.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 90 staffed beds and Trauma II designation,
• Ultrasound Tech - General unit performing exams across adult, ER, ICU, NICU, Pediatric, High Risk OB, and portable settings,
• Average daily census of 24 patients,
• Day shift schedule, 4x9 hours, Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM,
• Rotating on-call and holiday coverage required,
• No weekend requirement,
• Uses Epic for charting,
• Uses PACS, Philips, and Trophon equipment,
• No floating to sister facilities required,

Job Requirements

• ARDMS certification required, with RDMS-OB required at time of hire,
• If not ARDMS OB/GYN registered at hire, registry required within 12 months with first attempt within 6 months,
• BLS certification required,
• ARRT and RDCS certifications preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred,
• General ultrasound, OB/GYN, neonatal, and vascular skills required,
• Experience in Adult, ER, ICU, NICU, Pediatric, High Risk OB, and portable work settings required,
• PACS experience required; Philips and Trophon equipment experience preferred,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Perform general ultrasound exams including abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis,
• Perform OB/GYN exams across all trimesters including amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screening, and placenta previa evaluation,
• Perform vascular studies including carotid, arterial/venous extremity studies, renal artery duplex, and doppler studies,
• Perform renal/pelvis exams including bladder, ovaries, prostate, and uterus,
• Perform small parts exams including thyroid, testicles/scrotum, and superficial masses,
• Perform neonatal head, heart, and spine ultrasounds,
• May assist with procedures such as amniocentesis, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy,
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction,

• Caribbean blue scrub color required,
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within one week of signing,
