SBA Commercial Relationship Specialist

Job Description At Regions, the SBA Commercial Relationship Specialist provides general administrative support to Relationship Managers within Commercial Banking, including Commercial Banking and/or specialized business segments of Agricultural Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Small Business Administration, and Franchise Lending. Primary Responsibilities Assists Relationship Manager(s) by performing daily support activities related to client relationships and keeps the Relationship Manager informed when appropriate. Acts as a point of contact for Commercial Banking clients for all servicing requests related to client relationships. Attends weekly scheduled meetings with Relationship Manager(s) to discuss workflow items such as renewals, new pipeline items, servicing requests, and past‑due reports. Provides reports for Relationship Manager(s) such as 360 Report, Weekly Sales Report, OneView Pipeline Report, Maturities, Past‑Due, and Exception Reporting. Facilitates and manages the credit application workflow as it applies to the appropriate credit channel, including collecting financial information from clients, submitting facility applications, and managing loan workflows to closing. Manages post‑closing requirements including tickler requirements and exception citations. Manages the Relationship Manager(s) loan maturity pipeline, ensuring that renewals are approved and closed in a timely manner. Acts as a liaison between Credit Products and the Commercial Team with underwriting and loan fulfillment processes and procedures, and manages due diligence requirements from the field. Assists Relationship Manager(s) with sales support functions, including marketing requests, client and prospect presentations, and building prospect information files. Opens new deposit products for clients. Works closely with the Treasury Management team to onboard new Treasury Management clients and provide guidance in locating appropriate servicing resources. Maintains consistent data integrity for relationship team’s client accounts within all source systems. Maintains OneView administrative data, including updating client contact information, merging client records, managing pipeline reports for renewals, and creating prospect/centers of influence records. Manages data organization within Relationship Grouping Application (RGA) to ensure client records are properly grouped for accurate 360 reporting. Provides support for clients in specialized business segments such as GIB, SBA, AG, and Capital Markets within Commercial Banking. Supports Relationship Manager(s) with miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned. Helps facilitate training for new associate onboarding. May serve as a mentor for new associates. This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Requirements Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of banking or client support experience. Or High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general banking experience. Preferences College degree. Skills and Competencies Ability to lead and mentor others. Ability to partner with various internal partners across the organization. Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills. Excellent work ethic and self‑motivation. SBA experience is preferred. Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance. Job Range Target: Minimum: $50,500.00 USD, Median: $63,650.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: This job is not incentive eligible.
