VP Fixed Income Research

A leading institutional investment manager with over $120 billion in AUM is seeking a Vice President to join its Public Leveraged Finance Research team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of sector coverage across High Yield Bonds, Leveraged Loans, and Private Credit, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers to identify investment opportunities and drive portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental credit research and develop investment recommendations

• Cover assigned sectors with responsibility for underwriting, security selection, and relative value analysis

• Partner with Portfolio Managers and traders on portfolio positioning and investment decisions

• Monitor market and industry developments, providing actionable insights

• Meet with management teams, sponsors, lenders, and advisors as part of the research process

• Present investment ideas and recommendations to senior investment professionals and investment committees

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of leveraged finance credit research experience

• Strong expertise across High Yield and Leveraged Loans; Private Credit experience is a plus

• Proven track record of generating successful investment recommendations

• Deep fundamental credit underwriting and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred
