Position Summary: Blitt and Gaines, P.C. is seeking a motivated Part-Time Associate Attorney to join our Missouri team. This role offers substantial courtroom experience and immediate responsibility for managing a litigation caseload. The Part-Time Associate Attorney will appear regularly in court on behalf of the firm, review and approve pleadings, and handle contested litigation matters. This position is designed for a reduced-hour schedule while maintaining high professional standards and caseload accountability. There are no billable hour requirements. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible with a candidate who is ready to contribute immediately. Essential Duties: Appear in court on behalf of the firm as scheduled (based on part-time schedule and business needs) Review of new claims to ensure legal and procedural compliance Review and approve pleadings prepared for court filing, including complaints and motions Draft motions and responses related to contested matters Argue contested motions and handle trials and arbitrations as assigned Manage telephonic and written communications with opposing counsel Prepare and respond to discovery requests Oversee counterclaims involving the firm or its clients Requirements Education and Experience: Juris Doctor required Active admission to the Missouri Bar required Kansas Bar admission preferred Additional licenses in states where the firm operates Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience with Collection Master or a comparable case management system preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, judges, opposing counsel, and court personnel Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all interactions Ability to work independently and manage an assigned caseload within a part-time schedule Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and prioritize tasks effectively What We Offer: Blitt and Gaines, P.C. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Competitive base pay Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance Short-Term Disability 401(k) retirement plan Profit sharing Professional growth and advancement opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Blittandgaines
