This contract position begins with orientation between August 25-27, launching into the academic year on September 3 and concluding June 24. Your expertise will foster students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being as you provide vital psychological services and support within the school community.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s Degree in Psychology required
- Solid understanding of childhood development and the learning process
- Proficiency in diagnostic assessment and interpretation
- Experience utilizing Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ needs and strengths
- Design, implement, and assess interventions to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive outcomes and an inclusive school climate
- Provide consultation and crisis support as needed across various age groups
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and share progress insights
