Job Summary and QualificationsRole Overview: This position involves providing leadership that enhances the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. The nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation will be utilized to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families. You will also implement medically prescribed interventions.
Qualifications Required:- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required, or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a commitment to obtain a BSN within five years of starting the RN role. Grandfathering is accepted between departments and entities. Exemptions or extensions may be granted by the facility's Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and reported to the CNO Council. Facilities will track exemptions as needed. RNs with ten or more years of experience are exempt.
- Preferred Education: A Master's degree in Nursing.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing is mandatory. An Enhanced Nurse License Compact (eNLC) license may be applicable; candidates should verify with the NCBON. Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications: National certification in a specialty area.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
