The Medical Office Receptionist is an entry-level position responsible for answering the phones and checking in patients, collecting copays and balances due as well as handling additional administrative tasks as neededDuties include:Answering multi-line phones and triage the call as neededScheduling patients according to the companys scheduling guidelinesChecking in patients for appointmentsReview of scheduled patients 48 hours in advance to include: Verify all data is correct and required information has been received. Verifying/document patients eligibility and benefits in EMR Preparing a calculation of copays and coinsurances as well as any other outstanding balances and notifying patientsProcessing incoming documents into patients chart (fax inbox, scanning)Minimum Education, Experience:1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or certification in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
