AWS Developer with Java and Apache Spark -Onsite Location: Phoenix, Arizona – Onsite position We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java AWS EC2 AWS EMR Amazon S3 and Apache Spark. Experience in the Commercial Lending domain is a plus. The candidate will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our cloud-based solutions contributing to the company mission of delivering innovative financial services. Responsibilities Develop and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS EC2 AWS EMR Amazon S3 and Apache Spark. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient data processing pipelines. Ensure the reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure by monitoring and troubleshooting issues. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Implement best practices for data security and compliance to protect sensitive information. Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and ensure adherence to project requirements. Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering design development testing and deployment. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance system performance and reduce costs. Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture processes and procedures. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools to increase efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate deployment and scaling processes. Qualifications Possess a strong background in AWS EC2 AWS EMR Amazon S3 and Apache Spark with a minimum of 6 years of experience. Demonstrate experience in developing and optimizing cloud-based solutions. Show proficiency in designing and implementing data processing pipelines. Exhibit knowledge of best practices for data security and compliance. Have experience in conducting code reviews and maintaining high standards of code quality. Display familiarity with the full software development lifecycle. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $64,800– $108,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
