Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,791–$2,903 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour days (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) Start date: 10/12/2026 Location: Machias, ME Responsibilities Provide holistic, individualized nursing care on the OB unit using the nursing process Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills to support high-quality patient care Independently perform general and unit-specific clinical skills; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse Manage care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecologic patients; monitor maternal and fetal status; administer medications; ensure accurate documentation Maintain supplies and equipment; promote teamwork with physicians and personnel across hospital departments; adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and patient rights policies Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team; support patient education and discharge planning Requirements Active RN license to practice; state-specific licensure as required One year minimum of acute care RN experience Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE Ability to work in a high-acuity OB unit according to department standards Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic computer proficiency Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support to assist throughout the assignment Dedicated support throughout the assignment period Extension opportunities based on performance and unit needs Nationwide assignments available through the staffing organization Housing assistance available where applicable Referral bonuses up to $1,000 for eligible placements Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
