Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit

Schedule: 3x12.0 rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
- RN License (New York only)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- Two years of Med/Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required
- NIHSS certification preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care for adult patients in the Observation unit, assessing conditions to determine the need for hospital admission or safe discharge.
- Manage a high turnover of patients, averaging 20 to 27 per day, with an average length of stay of 27 hours.
- Work within a fast-paced environment with 24/7 provider coverage.
- Deliver care to a diverse adult population, including those under emergency observation and admitted boarding patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
