OPERATING ROOM ATTENDANT

Performs delegated activities supporting the OR team in the care of surgical patients. Under the supervision of the OR Charge Nurse & Service Coordinators, assists with room set up, room turn over and case cart transport, assesses sub-sterile core supply stock. May assist with case cart management duties if needed. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience, similar experience to patient identification and authentication, or recent work experience in a hospital is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing duties, resolving supply and equipment problems, and when communication with surgical team members.
