POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Production will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and sustainability of DOT America’s production and logistics systems to comply with applicable customer needs and FDA, ISO13485, and ISO14971 regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Director of Operations, participates as a core member of the DOT America, Inc. leadership team. Manages multiple company functions, including the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of the production and logistics teams. Teams with executive management, quality, and engineering resources to develop plant and process layouts accounting for safety, production efficiency, quality, and other short and long term business objectives. Helps to solicit bidding, select, and manage consultants and contractors to assist in the realization of the overall facility plan. Partners with customers to determine applicable processing and subsequent costing/pricing to meet requirements. Teams with executive management, quality, and sales personnel to address customer service issues and, as applicable, solicits new business. Ultimately, the Production Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, and efficiency of DOT America’s production and logistics operations. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent with approximately 5 years of relevant experience leading engineering or production functions in the medical device industry is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with secondary medical device processing technologies, such as cleaning, blasting, polishing, physical vapor deposition, plasma spraying, and anodizing is additionally preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in software applications, including but not limited to MS Office, statistical program applications, CAD, and ERP applications. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, specifications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers. MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and repeatability, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, statistical inference, and sampling theory. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; utilize hands to hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The Team Member may need to work safely with toxic, acidic, and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. TRAVEL The position may require domestic and international travel. SALARY AND BENEFITS Salary and bonus potential shall be commensurate with education and experience.
