The city of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is seeking a Clinical Nurse for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) position. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, with a focus on complex cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited institution, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association or ARC).
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have at least two years of experience working at a large hospital in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory that provides STEMI care and advanced Cardiac Catheter procedures, including pulmonary embolism, cardiogenic shock, ECMO, and diagnostic/interventional treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD). Skills required include clinical nursing, patient care coordination, nursing process, patient education, and patient assessment. Additional skills include care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, point-of-care testing, compliance with healthcare standards, discharge planning, professional growth, performance improvement, cost-effective care, communication systems, safety promotion, cultural competence, task prioritization, and research application.
