Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist Level II (CIT II)

Our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is home to one of the busiest and most advanced structural heart programs in the country. As a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist (CIT), you'll gain hands-on experience assisting with highly complex, cutting-edge procedures performed on patients who travel from around the world to Stanford Health Care for specialized treatment.

Working in our state-of-the-art procedural suites, you'll develop expertise across multiple specialties, including:

• Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR)
• Cardiology
• Structural Heart
• Vascular Intervention
• Electrophysiology (EP)

Our high-volume program performs approximately 2035 cases each day, providing an exceptional opportunity to refine your technical skills, expand your clinical knowledge, and work alongside nationally recognized physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

What You Will Do:

• Competent to work in 3 services working to proficiency in all services.
• Provides scrub assistance during procedures.
• Sets exposure parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment.
• Enters data such as patient demographics in imaging equipment.
• Correctly archives images in CVIS or PACs
• General understanding of imaging techniques, protocols and equipment functions.
• Operates and trouble-shoots ancillary equipment. General understanding of needed supplies, measurement, archival.
• Competent on all angio equipment and for ancillary equipment used in learned services.
• Performs routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment.
• Verifies & completes all documentation to include RIS, EPIC and Qsight Inventory
• Utilizes time efficiently, able to prioritize work, asks for reassignment when free.

Education Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

• One (1) to three (3) years of cardiovascular progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• General understanding of principles of radiation in relation to imaging techniques.
• General understanding of most supplies for procedures trained in and proper usage.
• Understand the safety requirements of the basic procedures. Learning the safety requirement of more complex procedures.
• General understanding of the anatomy and physiology in relation to the procedures performed.
• General understanding of procedure indications, disease processes involved and treatment options.
• Demonstrate solid communications skills.
• Ability to explain a basic procedure to the appropriate audience.
• Ability and knowledge to assess the specific age needs of the patients.
• Need to confirm assessment with more experienced Tech.
• With coaching, start to build a trusting and collaborative relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Exemplifies the principles of CI Care to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.

Licenses and Certifications:

• BLS - Basic Life Support
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• CRT
• ARRT-RTR - Reg Tech-Radiography ARRT

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $76.29 - $85.91 per hour
