Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Carmichael, California. This role involves providing critical emergency nursing care in a high-paced trauma center setting. The position requires a strong ability to interpret EKG strips, work effectively with trauma patients, and adhere to facility protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 6:45 PM, with a schedule of every other weekend and rotating holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; at least 2 years of emergency department experience; current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); experience with Cerner charting system; ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level II Trauma area experience preferred.
• Additional Information: This position is within a primary trauma center for the area, with required weekend and holiday rotations, and includes float responsibilities to other Sacramento facilities. Orientation involves 1-2 days with a preceptor on the unit. The unit comprises 30 beds, including 1 trauma bay with 2 beds, and the team includes nurse aides and charge nurses. Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC are mandatory for consideration.
