Position Summary Assistant Nursing Manager – Maternity. Department: Atrium Health Pineville. Full-time, 36 hours per week. Schedule and Compensation Schedule: 3 12‑hour night shifts per week, holiday rotation, weekend rotation. Sign‑on bonus available if applicant has not received a sign‑on bonus within the past 24 months. Pay Range: $44.15 – $66.25 per hour. Responsibilities Supports the manager using systematic approaches to improve nursing practice and service delivery. Assists with hiring, interviewing, selection and supervision of nursing personnel. Coordinates communication throughout shifts via staff meetings/huddles. Collaborates with the manager to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and policies. Rounds on patients, teammates and physicians at prescribed frequencies to assess care and satisfaction. Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers within legal or policy parameters. Assists in identifying expected outcomes and provides direction for continuity of care. Evaluates progress toward goal attainment and disseminates information to involved teammates. Performs nursing care; assists with treatments, therapies, procedures and medication administration. Coordinates patient flow and staffing based on volume/acuity needs. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN. Current RN licensure in the state. Minimum two years of nursing experience (preferred). Previous management experience preferred. BLS certification required. Professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within one year of eligibility for exam. Enrolled in a BSN program if lacking a BSN (must complete within 3 years). Physical Requirements Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds and must possess normal vision, hearing, smell, touch, finger dexterity, critical thinking and concentration.
