Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Services Unit Profession: RN Psych Specialty: RN Psych Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: - 3 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing - Ability to conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments - Demonstrated critical thinking and sound clinical decision-making skills Description: Registered Nurses in the Behavioral Services Unit are key members of an interdisciplinary team. They are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to the community. RNs practice to the full scope of their license. They actively contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services. Collaboration with colleagues in a shared governance environment is essential to improving patient outcomes. RNs deliver optimal patient-centered care. RNs conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments. They develop person-centered care plans to meet complex and changing needs. Providing skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies and professional standards is crucial. Critical thinking is used to make sound clinical decisions and evaluate outcomes. RNs address concerns and maintain accurate documentation. They apply evidence-based practice and demonstrate accountability within the care team. RNs serve as trusted clinical resources, mentors, and leaders. Support for staff development and patient care excellence is expected. Physical requirements include the repetitive use of hands and fingers. Lifting and carrying light loads, including equipment and IV solutions, may be necessary. Sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods is required. The unit includes an acute psychiatric setting with adult and adolescent beds.
