Job Details Location: Huntington Beach 910 – Huntington Beach, CA 92647 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $22.00 – $23.00 hourly; competitive pay DOE $23–$24 per hour Sign‑In Bonus: $2,500 (paid quarterly over 12 months) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation, PTO, 401(k) Summary American Furniture Rental (AFR) seeks an Experienced Truck Driver & Furniture Mover for our Huntington Beach warehouse. The employee will deliver, install, and pick up furniture and equipment while following DOT regulations and maintaining vehicle and equipment safety. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles professionally, observing all safety rules and DOT traffic laws. Perform daily maintenance checks, pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and report malfunctions to management. Deliver, install, and pick up merchandise from warehouses, vendors, and customers in a timely manner with attention to detail. Complete and file all required paperwork, including invoices, delivery and pickup documents. Protect all items using furniture pads, coverups, and other materials supplied by AFR. Maintain the tool kit provided by AFR and notify management of any needed replacements. Confirm items delivered are in good condition and obtain customer signature on delivery documents. Inspect facilities for damage before installation or pickup, photograph, and report to the manager. Relay customer messages and communications to appropriate management. Maintain a neat and clean workplace; assist with stocking and handling cartons in the shipping and receiving department. Follow floor plans and coordinate delivery with helpers; wear the uniform provided by AFR at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Additional Skills Organizational and time‑management skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving ability. Availability for rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends. Ability to use basic tools (screwdriver, cordless drill, hammer, etc.). Basic math, reading, and organizational skills. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of English and Spanish languages preferred. Experience At least six months of experience in a similar industry with warehousing and inventory knowledge, and the ability to operate a 26′ box truck. Certifications / Licenses Valid driver’s license meeting insurance underwriting requirements (no violations in the past twelve months). Valid DOT card (or ability to obtain one prior to hiring). Pass DOT Physical test, including pre‑employment drug testing. Clean background and driving records. Background check required.
