Job Summary

Under the direction of the food service director and supervisor, the Elementary Manager/Manager Floater is responsible for basic administrative office duties and to substitute for other food service positions as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Answer phone and take messages 2. Attempt to resolve student, parent, teacher, and vendor issues 3. Assist with Educational Benefits Form's 4. Submit parent refunds requests to business office and make adjustments on the student lunch accounts 5. Maintain and order food service office supplies as needed 6. Ensure all schools meals are recorded properly in POS system 7. Match invoices to drop slips 8. Match bank deposit slips with monthly statement from the business office 9. Assist in other areas of the kitchen when necessary 10.Assist with food ordering for the schools 11.End of year information - box and label key documents 12.Perform other duties as assigned by director

Qualifications

1. Strong math skills 2. Basic office and typing skills 3. Must pass the district approved test 4. Must possess good personal, written, and oral communication skills 5. Must be self-directed and able to carry out duties without direct supervision 6. Must possess a high degree of tact, good judgement, and sincerity in dealing with students, staff, parents, and vendors

Compensation and Benefits

This position is covered under the Teamsters Local 214 Food Service employee master agreement using "Elementary Manager/Manager" wage scale. This position starts one week before the school year and one week after the school year.

Hours: 7:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. (with hours subject to change)

Rate of Pay: $18.75 per hour
