Job Description

An Radiology Technician Technician plays a critical role in performing general diagnostic imaging to assist radiologists in patient diagnosis and care. Working under the supervision of radiologists, the technician prepares patients, operates imaging equipment, and ensures the quality and safety of the imaging process. This position involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate patient records and adherence to radiation safety protocols within standard working hours.

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Days: Monday-Friday 7am to 330pm. 8-hour shifts.

Required; Operating Room Experience and Epic EHR

Certs: ARRT R, BLS, WA LIC

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for X-ray procedures ensuring comfort and proper positioning
• Operate X-ray equipment to acquire diagnostic images
• Process and analyze images using standard imaging software
• Perform routine quality control and equipment maintenance
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff
• Report findings and escalate issues to supervising radiologist as needed

 

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in radiologic technology
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification
• State licensure for X Ray Technician
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of radiographic imaging and patient care
• Familiarity with radiation safety and equipment operation
• Proficiency in image analysis and medical terminology
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
