Merchandiser/Cashier

Essential Job Functions Merchandiser responsibilities include greeting customers on the sales floor, assisting them with locating merchandise or directing them to a parts specialist, checking out customers, and deterring shoplifters. The employee keeps the front area stocked and fronted, stocks merchandise according to planograms or displays, completes sales preparation, and ensures all "sale" signs, flyers, and pricing are accurate. They also remove sale material when a promotion ends, assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, overstock returns, and complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks. Additionally, the role acts as the main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security, assists with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities, clocks in/out per company policy, and performs cashier duties such as checking out customers, handling returns, and assisting with express lane tasks. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required: Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, strong interpersonal communication skills, and good organizational skills. Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle, and fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
