Job Summary 

Weis Fire & Safety Equipment, a manufacturer of wildland fire apparatus, is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Apparatus Division. You'll install and troubleshoot the DC electrical systems that run our trucks — wiring harnesses, lights, radios, and controls. We're looking for someone reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working hands-on with electrical systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Mount equipment on trucks 
• Install wiring harnesses using hand tools 
• Install lights, radios, and other electrical equipment 
• Troubleshoot DC electrical systems and basic electrical controls 
• Use test equipment to check and confirm proper installation 
• Adapt to a variety of daily tasks and stay detail-oriented on every build 

Qualifications  

• Working knowledge of DC electrical systems and basic electrical controls 
• Comfortable troubleshooting electrical issues 
• Good hand-tool skills for wiring installation 
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented 
• Prior electrical, automotive, or wiring experience is helpful but not required 

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay range: $20.00 – $28.00 / hour

Work Location & Schedule  

• On-site in Salina, Kansas 
• Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
• Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
