Valuation Senior Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance

Company Overview BRG Transaction and Valuation Opinions provides valuation services in support of: transaction opinions (fairness and solvency) portfolio valuation tax and financial reporting litigation special situations such as restructuring / bankruptcy support Clients include hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital firms, limited partners, lenders, corporations, boards, independent directors and attorneys. Salary Salary range: $125,000 - 215,000 Responsibilities Technical Analyze historical and projected financial information. Develop detailed financial models to value companies and complex securities. Direct junior staff in developing detailed financial models to value companies and investments. Efficiently manage the aggregation and organization of large data sets in Microsoft Excel. Leverage financial and market data software platforms such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg. Present thorough valuation analyses to clients consistent with the scope of the projects. Experience with Option Pricing Models (Black‑Scholes) and/or Monte Carlo simulation is preferred. Quality Consistently meet client deadlines and quality expectations. Maintain an organized, methodical and professional demeanor. Take ownership in the work product, including the analyses developed by junior staff. Exceptional attention to detail. Communication Communicate project status and results both internally and externally. Effectively manage the deadlines of the project tasks undertaken by junior staff. Demonstrate strong report‑writing skills. Teamwork and Leadership Participate in a team environment and collaborate to share responsibilities towards attainment of team goals. Actively seek out opportunities for practice development projects and personal leadership skill development. Business and Personal Development Actively participate in BRG’s business development activities, including client meetings and presentations. Be ready to expand your network with clients to become a trusted and reputable advisor. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field. Six to eight (6‑8) years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm. Experience as a key team member leading the development and ultimate completion of client‑ready valuation deliverables (or similar client service deliverables). Significant progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation is viewed favorably.
