Lactation Consultant/Maternal Educator

Location: HealthPark Medical Center - 9981 So HealthPark Circle Fort Myers FL 33908 Department: Family Education - Support Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/7:00:00 AM to 7:00:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $35.04 - $47.30 / hour Summary Magnet® designated and Baby Friendly HealthPark Medical Center has an opportunity for an experienced Lactation Consultant/Maternal Educator.
Requirements:
Provides care based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, IBLCE and AWHONN standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years obstetrical or neonatal nursing experience and/or lactation education experience required. Certification: IBCLC Certification Required. Certification in Childbirth Education preferred. Current BLS required.
License: State of FloridaRN required or active Multistate/Compact RN licensure. Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. US:FL:Fort Myers
