Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology/Oncology, Full Time, Days

The Registered Nurse provides expert professional nursing care; assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent or potential health problems; utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, ethics, and concepts; participates in the organization and management of the practitioner’s practice; maintains positive relationships with patients, patient family members, other visitors, and fellow employees. Provides strong patient advocacy and liaison to the community. Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety. Thorough knowledge of chemotherapy regimens and pharmaceuticals for treatment. Expansive knowledge of hematology/oncology processes and practices. Superb understanding of nursing principles. Excellent understanding of patient/family teaching principles. Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) computerized practice management systems and other computerized systems (Microsoft office programs and electronic health records systems). Ability to prioritize and problem solve both independently and with a team. Excellent communication skills, bilingual in Spanish or Chinese helpful.
